The Jury

The jury of BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER

The judging panel of BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER consists of five members each year. Catharina Cramer, Yasha Young and Walter Gehlen are permanent jury members. Each year the jury is completed by two members out of the art world and the creative industry. We will soon announce who will support the judges panel this year.
  • Catharina Cramer, Patron and Managing Partner of the Warsteiner Group
  • Yasha Young, Director and Curator of URBAN NATION
  • Walter Gehlen, Co Director and Artistic Director of ART DÜSSELDORF and BLOOOM

Catharina Cramer

Patron and Managing Partner of the Warsteiner Group

At this point in her career, Catharina Cramer has already been around: The Managing Partner of the Warsteiner Group graduated from the European Business School in London and studied in Paris and Madrid during her exchange semesters. Before definitively entering into the family business (now in its ninth generation) in 2006, Cramer gathered extensive experience in the hotel business as well as in the beverage industry in Germany, the US, England, France, and Argentina.

Privately, the BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER jury member is actively committed to supporting culture, among other causes. She is particularly interested in the latest developments in the areas of art, design, and brand management. It is important to her that her company’s cultural sponsorship makes a real contribution to opening up new paths in the art scene and supporting young artists.

Walter Gehlen is one of the faces behind ART DÜSSELDORF. The art-loving economist started as director of dc duesseldorf contemporary. With about 37,000 visitors, the fair was the highlight of the Cologne art fall.

As of 2017, the fair reinvents itself in the influential art hub Duesseldorf as ART DÜSSELDORF - together with its sister fair BLOOOM.

Walter Gehlen, who lives in Cologne with his family, advises artists and galleries on all matters of the art market.
